ABIBOO Studio would like to present the bold proposals of Xavier Delory in “Pilgrimage along modernity”, as a twisted tribute to the Modernist architectural movement. The method that Xavier implements of collage, and mixing and recycling pre-existing forms is very Postmodernist, in opposition to the philosophy of Modernist architects characterised by its search for originality, the desire to create new forms and its presumptive concluding of the narrative. The fact that the artist takes over some of the most relevant modern buildings as the inspiration for his postmodern manifiesto, makes it even more fascinating.

Xavier Delory is a visual artists on the frontiers of art and architecture. He studied architecture and photography and his work questions the characteristics of photography in its relationship to reality. The artist uses digital photomontages to create fictional buildings by using as canvas masterpieces in the history of modern architecture. His work has been exhibited internationally.

ABIBOO Studio quiere presentar las audaces propuestas de Xavier Delory en “Peregrinación a la modernidad”, como un retorcido homenaje al movimiento arquitectónico modernista. El método que Xavier aplica del collage, y la mezcla y el reciclaje de formas preexistentes es muy posmoderno, en oposición a la filosofía de los arquitectos modernistas caracterizada por su búsqueda de originalidad, el deseo de crear nuevas formas y su presunta conclusión de la narración. El hecho de que el artista se apropie de algunos de los edificios modernos más relevantes como inspiración de su manifiesto posmoderno, lo hace aún más fascinante.

Xavier Delory es un artista visual en las fronteras del arte y la arquitectura. Estudió arquitectura y fotografía y su trabajo cuestiona las características de la fotografía en su relación con la realidad. El artista utiliza fotomontajes digitales para crear edificios ficticios utilizando como lienzo obras maestras de la historia de la arquitectura moderna. Su trabajo ha sido exhibido internacionalmente.
